Well done to UoG students Holly McCann and Harriet Lewis who have been awarded Highly Commended for their graphic design work as part of the national Brief Case Awards 2021; an initiative led by sustainability specialists The Heaven Company.
Holly, Harriet and fellow Graphic Design students were tasked and assessed on responding to a live industry brief: ‘Sustainable Futures and the Ageing Community’, which challenged them to think about ways to deliver social good through design to communities.
Students had to consider ways to share their ideas through social and printed media, identifying and supporting one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Project outputs included campaigns to encourage children to grow food, apps to reduce food waste, and projects encouraging people to sell their pre-loved wedding apparel.
