STUDENT SWITCH-OFF

Energy saving in halls is promoted and encouraged through student energy ambassadors who advise on better energy use. Halls students can win prizes for engaging with the Student Switch Off campaign through social media competitions and reducing energy use.

In the academic year 2016-17 this campaign saved nearly 12,000kwh, 6 tonnes of CO2 and £1194 compared to the 2014/15 base line, during months of full occupancy (October, November and February).
