The University has been shortlisted into the finals in all 3 categories it entered for the 2019 UK Green Gown Awards.<\/p>\n
The awards recognise sustainability excellence in further and higher education institutions across a range of categories and are increasingly competitive each year.<\/p>\n
The University\u2019s finalist entries this year are:<\/p>\n
Sustainability Institution of the Year<\/strong> \u2013 showcasing our pioneering long term change process and achievements in all areas of university life, including our leadership approach, our academic innovations, practical results in core operations and new collaborations with partners locally, nationally and globally.<\/p>\n Research with Impact<\/strong> \u2013 for research led by Professor Adam Hart and Professor Anne Goodenough to develop and implement low cost thermal imaging to reduce rhino poaching, creating results to support the UN global goals around life on land as well as governance, partnerships, consumption and education.<\/p>\n
